Drink a glass of milk before you start drinking. Milk slows down the absorption of alcohol, so there is less acetaldehyde for the body to deal with at any one time
Make sure you take the full fat version, it works a lot better than the low or no fat versions

Eat a good meal. Having food in the stomach, particularly proteins, fats and dense carbohydrates, slows the absorption process of alcohol into your blood. So alcohol on an empty stomach gets you drunk more quickly

Hydrate yourself, which means no more than try to drink a few glasses of water or fruit juice. This prepares your body for the dehydration process and the loss of vitamins and electrolytes later on. Although you want to eliminate that headache ASAP don't take aspirin, aspirin and alcohol are a very bad combination, it might take care of the headache but it does nothing for your alcohol level in your system
Just like alcohol aspirin is a blood thinner and it can make the alcohol effects even worse and it upsets your stomach
Tylenol (or acetaminophen) in combination with the alcohol in your blood can do very serious damage to your liver. Ibuprofen and alcohol can also cause stomach bleeding

The "hair of the dog that bit you" remedy means you take another alcoholic drink right after you wake up with a hangover. The idea behind this is that the alcohol in your new drink will leap in line to be broken down before all that was left in your blood from yesterday. This gives you a short reprieve from those monstrous hangover symptoms
However as soon as the drink is broken down the hangover will be back…with a vengeance. Your body has now extra toxins to take care of so the hangover will only be worse
We do not recommend this method since it also seems a very slippery road towards alcohol dependency
